“Marketing of Information Services” is the topic of the symposium. Because the number of information providers is increasing dynamically, and it seems that everybody is able to get information without any help from experts. Therefore infomation specialists should establish their services on the market. Facing budget cuts in the private and public sector new and more marketing strategies and tools are necessary to focus the customers’ attention on the added value of information services, and the advantages of professional support.
BOBCATSSS 2007 would like to give an overview of new concepts and ideas as well as established marketing instruments. Subtopics coming under Human Factor, Marketing Management and ICT Solutions areas will be presented as lectures, workshops and poster sessions.
